NorthWest Airlines World Perks visa card makes it even easier to earn free flights around the world. The card is offered through US Bank giving you the security of one of the largest banks in the country.

Earning Northwest Airlines WorldPerks Miles

The Northwest Airlines visa card allows you to earn miles with their World Perks frequent flyer program. Not only will you receive a bonus of up to 10,000 miles with your first purchase, you can also continue to earn miles every time you use your card.

Miles are earned at a rate of 1 miles per dollar spent. Unlike a number of other airline credit cards, there is no limit to the number of miles you can earn in a year. You can also earn double miles for purchases made direct with Northwest airlines and up to 5 miles per dollar at participating restaurants.

Miles can be redeemed through the WorldPerks program, allowing you to earn free travel to a wide number of destinations with Northwest and their partner airlines. Free flights start from as little as 25,000 miles for flights within the US, but you can also use you miles to upgrade ot a higher class of service.

Other Card Features

This card also offers a wide range of features that you would expect from a visa card. The Signature edition of the card ahs no preset spending limit as well as access to a concierge service.

As with most airline cards the interest rate is fairly high, and is currently at an 18% APR. The Visa Signature card has an annual fee of $90.

Credit Masters Review

If you are a frequent traveller with Northwest or one of their partner airlines, the additional frequent flyer miles you can earn with this card could be a great bonus to get you well on your way to those free flights.

While the bonus miles may not be as high as with other airline cards, you choice of card will probably come down to who you fly with most anyway.

While the interest rate may seem slightly high on this card, it is fairly competitive when compared to other similar airline credit cards.

Do bear in mind that there is a high annual fee with the Signature Visa but you can also apply for the platinum version of this card. This does have a lower annual fee but also slightly less tempting benefits.
