Chase Student Flexible Rewards Card

Being a student can put a big strain on your finances. Getting a student credit card can help ease these problems by helping you budget more easily.

The Chase Student Flexible Rewards Card offers the additional benefit of a rewards program so you can also get free gifts for using your card.

Chase Student Rewards Program

This card will earn you 1 reward point for every dollar you spend on eligible purchases. Eligible purchases include all standard purchases but not any fees, interest payments or balance transfers etc.

Your reward points can be redeemed with a wide number of retailers from Starbucks to Best Buy and many more. This means that you can use your rewards on something you want or need rather than a limited range of rewards that some cards offer.

Other Card Features

Chase is also offering a special introductory interest rate on this card. You can receive a 0% APR on both balance transfers and purchases for your first 6 months of card membership. This could save you money in interest payments if you currently have balances on other higher interest cards that you are thinking of transferring.

After the introductory period the interest rate will increase. The current rate is a variable 18.24% APR, with a higher APR for cash advances.

There is no annual fee for using this card.

Credit Masters Review

Credit cards can be a good budgeting tool for students, although it can be tempting to run up debt on one. If you are looking for a card, the Chase Student Flexible Rewards Card can be a good option.

Not only does it have a great rewards program, allowing you to receive a wide variety of rewards, it also has a very competitive introductory APR on both purchases and balance transfers.

The standard rate on this card is fairly high but this is quite common with student credit cards as most students don't have a very solid credit history behind them yet.
